When Perry Campbell, Founder and CEO of SwissMak LLC, was attending CU Boulder (the University of Colorado) on an engineering scholarship, he built a 3d printer so he could prototype products and designs he originated. He was frustrated with the jamming problem of the hotend (the part that squirts out hot plastic). So, he designed a new high performance hotend that could print any material and never jam.
