Our Story
BZAAR was started in 2020 to help small and medium businesses (SMBs) digitally source products from South and South-East Asia. Recent years had seen a paradigm shift when it came to the digital transformation of SMBs in the retail sector - both in terms of selling as well as sourcing online.
As former employees of Flipkart - India’s largest e-commerce company (and now a part of Walmart) - we knew the value that could be created by enabling SMBs to digitally source across borders.
While China had long been a popular sourcing destination for small and large businesses alike, our extensive research showed South Asian and South-East Asian countries like India, Bangladesh and Vietnam were also large sourcing destinations for major international retail chains and buying houses.
But they hadn’t been accessible to small buyers due to the unstructured, offline nature of doing business in these countries. And there were no digital alternatives either - no online platforms existed where SMBs could discover trusted suppliers, and manage their entire buying journey. And this is what inspired us to launch BZAAR - an international online wholesale platform enabling SMBs to seamlessly source unique products directly from manufacturers at the best prices.
But they hadn’t been accessible to small buyers due to the unstructured, offline nature of doing business in these countries. And there were no digital alternatives either - no online platforms existed where SMBs could discover trusted suppliers, and manage their entire buying journey. And this is what inspired us to launch BZAAR - an international online wholesale platform enabling SMBs to seamlessly source unique products directly from manufacturers at the best prices.
HOW WE WORK
BZAAR is a B2B cross-border digital sourcing platform that enables small and medium businesses to source high-quality home and lifestyle products directly from export-oriented manufacturers in South Asia and South-East Asia at the best prices.
As a buyer, you can choose made-to-order goods from an extensive catalog of unique products offered by some of the largest exporters. You can also customize and private label these products, as well as work with our team to get your own product designs manufactured by these exporters. Once an order has been placed, BZAAR will work with the manufacturer to get it processed and shipped directly to you. We provide an end-to-end experience, and take care of the entire process from sampling to packaging, quality control to logistics.

Nishant Verman, Founder
Nishant has spent his entire career working with companies that have been at the forefront of digital transformation in technology and eCommerce.
An alumnus of prestigious universities like Stanford and Kellogg, Nishant spent the early part of his career working for finance and tech giants like Morgan Stanley and Microsoft. His work took him to several cities across the US and multiple countries in South-East Asia - where he closely witnessed the Asian tech boom of the 2000s.
Excited by the opportunities its nascent tech ecosystem provided, Nishant moved to India in 2011. He joined Flipkart in 2014 - India’s largest e-commerce company (now a subsidiary of Walmart) - to lead its Mergers and Acquisitions team.
After a successful stint at Flipkart, including working on Walmart’s $16 billion acquisition of the company, Nishant founded BZAAR - a digital platform to revolutionize cross-border sourcing for small and medium businesses.
In his spare time, Nishant enjoys learning about and practicing yoga and meditation. He is married with 2 kids, aged 4 and 9.
