We are from PT. Shafwah Energi Indonesia (PT. SEI) which based in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. PT. SEI is a company with the product focus on forestry products, biomass energy and development on agricultural product mainly konjac. PT. SEI is a part of a large holding company in Indonesia named Shafwah Group (www.shafwahgroup.com). We have in our holding company other prospective businesses such as Charcoal producer & exporter, property developer, nickel ore trading company, fishery, mineral water and travel provider. On the late of 2020 PT. SEI is established, supported by a solid partnership with a farmers union of local konjac plantation.
The konjac plantation that we plan to develop the agriculture is in South Kalimantan; with the total area of +/- 1,500 ha which is predicted around 10,000 tons of material of konjac by partnering with the konjac farmers who take care of the plantation area and ourselves as the provider of konjac seeds and other needed materials. By having this collaboration, it will strengthen our position as qualified konjac producer in Indonesia. The other main sources of konjac that we are going to focus on is located in East Java; mainly in the regency of Madiun and Ponorogo. Especially in these regencies with large supply potentials, the konjac farmers union currently has up to 3,000 farmers harvesting up to 21,000 tons material of Konjac annually. From these two main sources, in South Kalimantan as well as East Java, affecting our decision to establish manufacturing facility of konjac chips and konjac powder (as per market demand) that is planned to be located in Surabaya, East Java.
