Properties:

Sodium thiocyanate is a white orthorhombic crystal or powder. The relative density is 1.735 g/cm3. It is deliquescent in the air and produces toxic gases when exposed to acid. Soluble in water, ethanol, acetone and other solvents.
Usage:

Determination of silver, copper and iron. Manufacture of organic thiocyanate.
