Product Description


Strong acid styrene cation exchange resin 001x7 is a polystyrene cation exchange resin with sulfonic acid groups, in the form of spherical particles. It has low pressure drop, good physical and chemical stability. The conventional ex-factory form is provided with sodium or hydrogen. 001*7 can be used in water softening process, dealkalization, deionization, pure water preparation, food industry, pharmaceutical and chemical treatment applications and other fields.

Resin pretreatment
Ion exchange resin is an industrial product, because organic or inorganic impurities are inevitably brought into the production and transportation process. After use, it will be released gradually, affecting the quality of the water. Therefore, the new resin must be pre-treated before use, the specific method is as follows:
1. After the resin is loaded into the exchanger, backwash the resin layer with clean water, with an expansion rate of 50-100%, until the effluent is clear, odorless, and free of fine resin.
2. Use about 2 times the volume of the resin to pass 4-5% hydrochloric acid solution through the resin layer at a flow rate of 2m/h. After all is passed through, soak for 4-8 hours, remove the acid liquid, and rinse with clean water until the effluent is nearly neutral. The flushing flow rate is 10-20m/h.
3. Use 2-5% lye of 2 times the volume of the resin to pass in and soak according to the method of hydrochloric acid solution above to remove lye. Rinse with clean water until the water is nearly neutral, with the same flow rate as above.
4. The acid-base solution is repeated 2-3 times, the effect is better, the resin after the pretreatment, the amount of regenerant should be doubled when it is put into operation for the first time to ensure that the resin is fully regenerated.
