Peony bark is a plant of Ranunculaceae, Paeonia suffruticosa (PaeoniasuffruticosaAndr.). The dried root bark is one of the commonly used traditional Chinese medicines in traditional Chinese medicine. As the main medicinal component of Cortex moutan, paeonol has certain potential value in the development and application of functional health products. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and anti-allergic effects. Paeonol has obvious analgesic effect on pain caused by physical or chemical factors such as tail pressing and acetic acid. Paeonol can obviously inhibit the inflammatory reaction caused by carrageenan, egg white, formaldehyde, histamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine, bradykinin, dimethyl Chemicalbook benzene and endotoxin.
