company Feingeisterei changes this with its new product: at Gut Basthorst, about 30 kilometers outside of Hamburg, the Don R*** Rum is distilled, stored and bottled. Namesake for the premium spirit is the owner of Gut Basthorst, Enno Freiherr von Ruffin.
Distilling and storage The Don R*** Rum is distiled from Master distiller Fabian Rohrwasser from South American molasses in a wood-fired copper pot still. Only the highest quality component of the distillate, the „heart“ is stored in wooden barrels made of American and French oak combined with a finishing in used sherry casks. Small barrel sizes ensure a fast and intense maturing process. The amber Triple Wood Rum has an alcohol content of 43.0 %abv. Each batch of the Don R*** Rum is filled in numbered and handsigned bottles. handcrafted
