 What is ND and CPL ?  What is the often used ND ?

 

ND = Neutral Density.

 

CPL filter can prevent unwanted reflections from naturally reflective surfaces outdoors, such as windows, water and snow, to impair the picture quality

 

ND4/ND8/ND16/ND32 are often used for drone lens  

 

ND4 Filter

ND4 Filter reduces the amount of light entering the camera to 1/4 and slows down the shutter speed by 2 f-stops. Ideal for capturing detailed images in cloudy and overcast conditions.

 

ND8 Filter

ND8 Filter reduces the amount of light entering the camera to 1/8 and slows down the shutter speed by 3 f-stops. An optimum solution for taking blur-motion pictures and smooth videos in the dusk and low-light locations.

 

ND16 Filter

ND16 Filter cuts the amount of light entering the camera to 1/16 and slows down the shutter speed by 4 f-stops. Perfect for capturing blur-motion images and shooting cinematic videos on clear, sunny days.

 

ND32 Filter

ND32 Filter cuts the amount of light entering the camera to 1/32 and slows down the shutter speed by 5 f-stops. Best for long-exposure shooting under very bright sunlight.
