CAS 6915-15-7 Malic acid
Malic acid is stable in normal condition and hygroscopic in high humidity. Triclinic white crystal. It is soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone and many other polar solvents.
Malic acid is used as a refreshing beverage (such as lactic acid bacteria beverage, milk beverage, soda, cola), frozen food (such as fruit juice, ice cream, etc.), sour taste agent of processed food (such as fruit wine, mayonnaise), color retention agent of fruit beverage, preservative and milk stabilizer of egg yolk. It can also be used as raw materials for cosmetics, tooth washes, metal cleaners, buffers, anticoagulants in textile industry and fluorescent whitening agents of polyester fiber.
