Dali is a nice and quiet city with long histroy, where the Minority Bai people live , surrounded by mountain and Er'hai lake, white and blue are the favorite colors of Bai people. Zaran(or tie-dyeing) is a local unique and traditional tie-dyeing technique since its birth as early as over 1000 years ago and already included in the list of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage, tie-dyeing are made by natural radix isatidis and manual cloth, the process is complicated, each cloth takes around 2-3 months stitch by stitch. The products you got are the artwork from the folk artists.
