Product Description
Important: Thuraya does not offer global coverage so please ensure that the region you wish to use the network in is available on the coverage map which you can find in the images.
You will be unable: to use any Thuraya equipment including handsets and/or airtime to connect to the network when outside of the Thuraya satellite footprint area. This includes North and South America.
Activation of airtime must take place within 6 months of purchase.
Pricing for SIM card & additional units:
SIM card Only - $ 34.50
SIM card with 20 additional Units - $ 62.50
SIM card with 50 additional Units - $103.00
SIM card with 160 additional Units - $ 242.50
Calls made within the Thuraya STANDARD zone are charged at 1.5 units per minute to a landline or mobile number within band 1. Calls made to other satellite networks are charged at up to 8 units per minute.
SIM card will be sent inactive. Please contact GTC to activate your SIM upon receipt of your order. Validity will start from the point of activation.
This SIM contains 10 units of airtime. Upon activation of your SIM a PIN will be provided to add the remaining units advertised. Additional credit can be added to this SIM at any time.

•\tFirst call must be made within 12 months.
•\tIf a call is not made within the first 12 months from the date of activation, the SIM will enter dormancy status and a fee of $19 will be deducted from the balance every month till call is made.
•\tThuraya Prepaid Plan has a validity of 365 days from first call.
•\tAnnual Renewal Fee: $39.00 (39 Units deducted automatically from balance on renewal date)
•\tAnnual renewal fee is waived for heavy users (over $1500 of satellite calls per year).
•\tUpon expiry, account balance is reset to zero and the account enters the 90-day grace period (Incoming calls are still possible).
•\tIf account is not refilled within the grace period, it will be deactivated and the number will be lost.
•\tDormancy Fee: If there is no activity on your SIM card for 12 months+ (e.g. making a call), then a dormancy fee of $19.00 will be deducted from your SIM card. If you have a balance with less than $19.00, then the entire balance will be deducted.
