PRECAUTIONS
1. It’s prohibited to use outside micrometer to measure the moving measured object, so as not to scratch the measuring surface or lead to inaccurate measurement.
2. The measuring surface should be wiped carefully before using it, check or reset the zero position to the correct position, the stroke of the measuring rod should not exceed its measuring range; and measure with constant measuring pressure; do not directly turn the "micro-drum" to measure.
3. When zero position or pressure lines or off line (small) happened in the outside micrometer, the black screw on the “fixed sleeve” should be loosened or removed, using “wrench” (product accessory) to clamp the Φ1.6 hole on the “fixed sleeve” and rotate it back and forth until the zero position is back to the correct position, finally fasten the M2.5 screw.
When the difference between pressure line and offline is large, use a wrench (product accessory) to loosen and remove the force measuring device, then take off the dry plate and remove the microdrum. Simple punching heads smaller than the inner hole of microdrum is selected to be fixed on the end faces of taper sleeve (inside of microdrum) respectively, gently clicking the punching heads to make the "taper sleeve" move forward or backward so as to adjust the "pressure line or offline". Install the “microdrum” and align it with zero position after adjustment, and cover the "cover plate" then tighten the "force measuring device".
Adjust the "pressure line" when the "taper sleeve" moves forward (i.e., moving inward); adjust the "offline" when it moves backward (i.e., moving outward).
When adjusting "taper sleeve" front and rear displacement, pay attention to the stress parts of "microdrum" and do not damage the cutting edge of conical surface.
4. When mal-movement and large axial or radial clearance happened to the micrometer, the "microdrum" should be taken down. Use "wrench" (product accessory) to cover "adjustment nut" (blackened workpiece), and rotate it back and forth to adjust the micrometer screw pair clearance, eliminate or reduce the axial and radial clearance.
5. Violent vibration and collision should be prevented from the micrometer; attention needs to be paid on corrosion and moisture.
6. The special environment operation (high temperature, low temperature, high pressure) may lead to measurement inaccuracy.
7. The micrometer should be put into the product box after rust-proof treatment if it needs to be stored for long term.
