Ethylene glycol is also known as glycol. English name of chemical: ethylene glycol, chemical formula: C2H6O2; Hoch2ch20h, molecular weight: 62.07. Ethylene glycol is a simple diol, colorless, odorless and sweet liquid, melting point: - 13.2 ℃, boiling point: 197.5 ℃, density: relative density (water = 1) 1.11; Relative density (air = 1) 2.14, vapor pressure: 6.21kpa/20 ℃, flash point: 110 ℃, toxic, miscible with water, miscible with ethanol, ether, etc. The product is colorless, odorless, sweet and viscous. Boiling point: 197.85 ℃, flash point: 111.1 ℃, freezing point: - 13.2 ℃. Can be filled or packed in galvanized iron drums. It shall be sealed during storage, and nitrogen sealing, moisture-proof, fire prevention and antifreeze shall be adopted for long-term storage
1.Mainly used for making polyester fiber, polyester resin, dehumidifying agents, plasticizers, surfactants, synthetic
fibers,
