  A: sodium-ion is a type of dry-cell battery unlike Sealed Lead Acid batteries whose capacity is rated by the amount of liquid electrolyte surrounding the electrodes. The weight difference doesn't come from chemicals or the electrode metals inside a cell as they are lightweight but from the metal materials used to manufacture the cell cases.

  Complete Protection: The sodium-ion battery’s unique built-in Battery Management System (BMS) protects it from overcharge, deep discharge, overloading, overheating and short circuit, and excessive low self-discharge rate ensuring up to 1 year maintenance-free storage. Built-in low-temp cut off prevents charging under -40 °F (-40 °C).
