Stainless Steel Gate Valve

Product introduction:
Gate valve refers to the valve whose closing member (gate) moves along the vertical direction of the channel axis. It is mainly used to cut off the medium on the pipeline, that is, fully open or fully closed. In general, gate valves cannot be used to regulate flow. It can be applied to low temperature and low pressure as well as high temperature and high pressure, and can be used for various media according to the different materials of the valve. But gate valves are generally not used in pipelines for conveying mud and other media.

Application range:
Cast steel gate valve is suitable for cutting off or connecting pipelines in various industries such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, fertilizer, electric power industry, etc., with nominal pressure PN1.6~6.4MPa and working temperature -29~600℃ The medium cannot be adjusted or throttled.

Applicable media:
water, oil, steam, acidic media and other media.

Structural features and advantages:
1) Small fluid resistance;
2) The torque required for opening and closing is small;
3) It can be used on the ring network pipeline where the medium flows in two directions, that is to say, the flow direction of the medium is not restricted;
4) When fully opened, the erosion of the sealing surface by the working medium is smaller than that of the globe valve;
5) The body structure is relatively simple, and the manufacturing process is better;
6) The length of the structure is relatively short: Because the gate valve has many advantages, it is widely used in China. Usually, the pipeline with DN ≥ 50MM is used as the device for cutting off the medium.

Disadvantages of cast steel gate valve:
1) The overall size and opening height are large, and the required installation space is also large;
2) During the opening and closing process, there is relative friction between the sealing surfaces, and the numbness is large, and even at high temperature, it is easy to cause scratches;
3) General gate valves have two sealing pairs, which increase some difficulties after processing, grinding and maintenance.
4) The opening and closing time is long.








Installation and use of cast steel gate valve

1. Before installation, check the valve cavity and sealing surface and other parts, and no dirt or sand particles are allowed to adhere;
2. The bolts of each connection part shall be evenly tightened;
3. Check that the packing parts are required to be pressed tightly, not only to ensure the tightness of the packing, but also to ensure that the gate can be opened flexibly;
4. Before installing the valve, the user must check the valve model, connection size and pay attention to the flow direction of the medium to ensure consistency with the valve requirements;
5. When installing the valve, the user must reserve the necessary space for the valve drive;
6. The wiring of the drive device must be carried out according to the wiring diagram;
7. The gate valve must be maintained regularly, and no collision or squeeze is allowed to avoid affecting the seal.
