FAQ


Is this ac, dc or both?.
It plugs into 220 or 110 VAC. It is a DC welder. the minus has a big clip tp attach to the word. The welding rod plugs into the DC PLUS.

How good are the welds?
This welder works better than I do. That being said this welder is well worth its price. I I'm just learning how to weld with a
stick welder it works quite well for me I've had other people use it while I watch and they can throw a bead quite well. The only drawback is if you're running it on extension cords it draws more amperage. But I'm sure it is like that with any welder. All in all it's a really good welder for the price. So yes it's weld quite well you will enjoy it.

Is this strong good enough for vehicle exhaust work?
This welder will efficiently weld 5/16 plate steel. Automotive exhaust pipe is very thin. If you are a good welder and use the
right rod & low amperage you can do it without burning through the thin material.
