Monosodium Glutamate, commonly known as MSG and also called Sodium Glutamate, is a sodium salt of an amino acid (L-glutamic acid).Monosodium Glutamate is used to intensify flavors of foods and produced by a bacterial fermentation process with starch or molasses.
