Chromium trioxide Inorganic Compound

Chromium trioxide is an inorganic compound with the formula CrO₃. It is theacidic anhydride of chromic acid, and is sometimes marketed under thesame name. This compound is a dark-purple solid under anhydrousconditions, bright orange when wet and which dissolves in waterconcomitant with hydrolysis. Millions of kilograms are produced annually, mainly for electroplating. Chromium trioxide is a powerful oxidiser and acarcinogen.

2. Pallet is suggested considering  heavy weight of single drum. 
3. Loading capacity is 18tons with pallet and 24 tons without pallet for 20ft container. 
4. FCL shipment is required as it is dangerous chemical.

Chromic Acid, Chromic Anhydride, Chromium Trioxide  Application:

A major use of chromium trioxide has been in chromium plating, particularly in the production of automobiles. Uses in other metal-finishing operations include aluminium anodizing, particularly on military aircraft; chemical conversion coatings, which provide both decoration and corrosion protection; and the production of phosphate films on galvanized iron or steel. Other uses of chromium trioxide are as a wood preservative, as a corrosion inhibitor for ferrous alloys in recirculating water systems, as an oxidant in organic synthesis and in catalyst manufacture. Small amounts are used to modify the properties of basic magnesite refractories.

2). Avoid moisture, heat and shock during storage and transportation. 

3). Also avoid contacting with eyes and skin. 

4). Personal protective appliances should be equipped with, such as self-suction respirator, acid –proofing rubber gloves, security coat and boot, chemical-resistant protective glasses. 

5). In case of leakage, the polluted area should be quarantined. Entry and exit should be strictly controlled. The leaked material should be gathered, reclaimed or transported and disposed in the waste-disposal station.
