Sticking a piece of electric film onto the transparent show window changes the ordinary glass to the projection screen. If the projector is turned on, the film will turn gray, so it can display the projection picture so the advertisers can show their ad material. When the projector turns off, the film will turn transparent immediately so the passerby can look through the glass to see what the store sells.
