Potassium sorbate is widely used in food , drink, vegetables in soy, tobacco, drugs, cosmetics, agricultural products etc as
preservative.

Potassium sorbate is considered to be safe because of its long term safety record and non-toxic profile, the toxicity is 1/40
times than sodium benzoate.

Also, it is used in personal care products to inhibit the development of microorganism for shelf stability.
