Application


Aluminum fluoride is a colorless cubic crystal or white crystalline powder that is soluble in water and hydrofluoric acid, insoluble in other solvents, and does not react even when heated to smoke with concentrated sulfuric acid. Anhydrous matter is very stable and does not decompose upon heating until sublimation. Mainly used as a regulator and flux in the aluminum electrolysis process.
