The locution SuperTuscan was invented in the 1980s by the Anglo-Saxon press to identify Tuscan wines with a modern style and high level of quality. SuperTuscan Wines are revolutionary wines, born from an innovative and brilliant idea. They are Wines produced using traditional Sangiovese or red grapes that are not native or typical of Italy, such as the international grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
The story begins with the courage of a few Tuscan producers, who, defying consumer mistrust, managed to create an imprint, a landmark of Italian wine and style that has become cult worldwide.

BOLGHERI ROSSO IMPRONTE MAGNUM
BOLGHERI ROSSO IMPRONTE MAGNUM is a Grand Bordeaux Wine, aged in French wooden barrels for 24 months, with an additional 6 months in the bottle. In this small area of the Tuscan Maremma in BOLGHERI, the noble Bordeaux vines have found a second home, thanks to the suitable soils and a sunny, warm climate, but always ventilated by the gentle breezes of the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea. The wine is a sincere and direct expression of the characteristics of this "terroir" and preserves the artisanal face made of passion, experience and great knowledge of the particular peculiarities of the BOLGHERI area.
The nose is very intense, variegated and fine. It pits scents declined with elegance, confirming the class that Cabernet achieves in the coast of Tuscany. Flavors of berries with blackberry and plum and green ones of bell pepper and Mediterranean herbs, such as thyme and savory. Aromas of eucalyptus and pine enliven it and then the wonderful spicy notes. The palate is endowed with great volume and stupendous structure, to be both powerful and elegant. Very deep and persistent finish with returns of aromatic herbs, spices and dried flowers.
The BOLGHERI ROSSO IMPRONTE MAGNUM wine comes from a selection of the oldest plants from the Piastraia vineyard, located on the top of the highest hill of Castagneto Carducci in BOLGHERI, more than 300 meters above sea level. The harvest is conducted manually with rigorous selection of the bunches and is carried out with pre-fermentation cold maceration, for a variable period of 36-48 hours.
