Basmati Golden Sella Parboiled Rice is a basmati grain that has been previously boiled and then dried. This process makes the rice faster to cook, does not stick to each other, and a low glycemic index.* Excellent for restaurant chef's as this makes the grain presentable without breaking!

Parboiled Rice, Easy To Cook Rice has been partially boiled in the husk. The three basic steps of parboiling are soaking, steaming and drying. These steps make the rice easier to process by hand, while also boosting its nutritional profile, and changing its texture. Parboiling drives nutrients, especially thiamin, from the bran to the endosperm, hence parboiled white rice is mostly nutritionally similar to brown rice.*

BASMATI PARBOILED RICE: A process which is boiled then dried before being sent to the processing unit. This process ensures that the basic nutrients of the outer shell, making it a tastier rice!

HOW TO COOK: 1 cup (200g) for 4 servings. Wash rice then soak rice with hot water, add salt, and soak for at least 30 minutes.
COOKING TIP: The longer you soak the rice, the longer the grain will get. 1 hour is recommended.

EASY TO COOK: Bring water to a boil, then add soaked rice, stir occasionally. Reduce heat and boil gently, uncovered, 12-14 mins. Drain well and serve.
