Appearance quality
The surface quality of angle steel is specified in the standard, and it is generally required that there shall be no harmful defects in use, such as delamination, scab, crack, etc.
The allowable range of geometric shape deviation of angle steel is also specified in the standard, generally including bending, edge width, edge thickness, top angle, theoretical weight, etc., and it is specified that the angle steel shall not have significant torsion.

Chemical Composition
(1) Composition index: the chemical composition of angle steel belongs to the rolled steel series for general structure, and the main verification indexes are C, Mn, P and S. According to different brands, the content varies from C<0.22%, Mn: 0.30-0.65%, P<0.060%, S<0.060%.
(2) Test methods: When testing the above chemical components, the commonly used standard test methods are GB223, JISG1211-1215, BS1837, BS Manual 19 ГОСТ 22536, etc.

According to the provisions of the above standards, the angle steel shall be delivered in bundles, and the binding times and the length of the same bundle shall meet the requirements. The angle steel is generally delivered in bare package, and attention shall be paid to moisture-proof during transportation and storage.

Mechanical Properties
(1) Inspection method:
① Tensile test method. Common standard inspection methods include GB/T228-87, JISZ2201, JISZ2241, ASTM A370 ГОСТ 1497, BS18, DIN50145, etc;
② Bend test method. Common standard inspection methods include GB/T232-88, JISZ2204, JISZ2248, ASTM E290 ГОСТ 14019, DIN50111, etc.
(2) Performance index:
the inspection items for evaluating the performance of angle steel are mainly tensile test and bending test. The indicators include yield point, tensile strength, elongation and bending qualification.
