Product Description



EPS(Expandable Polystyrene) is a lightweight, rigid, plastic foam insulation material produced from solid particles of polystyrene. Expandsion is achieved by virtue of small amounts of pentane gas dissolved into the polystyrene base material during production.The gas expands under the action of heat, applied as steam, to form perfectly clesed cells of EPS.



Expandable polystyrene is white or colorless transparent beads with a certain particle size and a relative density of 1.05～1.06.
It can be colored arbitrarily and has good chemical properties. Expandable polystyrene containing low-boiling hydrocarbon foaming
agent can increase its volume by 5-50 times when heated to 90-110℃, and become heat-insulating, sound-insulating, shock-proof,water-resistant, acid-resistant, and alkali-resistant And other characteristics of foam. The performance of polystyrene foam has a great relationship with the micropore structure, and is related to modifiers and additives. If the flame retardant hexabromocyclododecane is added, the foam produced has flame retardant properties.



Expandable polystyrene is mainly made into products with different relative densities and different shapes through different foaming processes. The pre-foamed body can be used as a filter medium for domestic water and as an auxiliary material for lightweight concrete. Its molded foam products can be used as shockproof packaging materials, insulation materials, floating materials, heat insulation materials, sound insulation materials, etc. The expanded polystyrene used for TV packaging alone is more than 15,000 tons per year. The foam sheet can be used as a packaging container, especially disposable tableware. Products with different densities have different uses. Materials with a density of 0.016～0.032g/cm3 account for more than 65% of the expandable polystyrene. They are mainly used as packaging materials and insulation materials; the density is 0 The material of 08～0.32g/cm3 is foam sheet, which is mostly used as food container; the material with density of 0.4～0.8g/cm3 is used to make
