Product Description
Fowl Adenovirus (FADV) is a non-enveloped, linear double-stranded DNA virus, a member of the Adenoviridae family and the genus Fowl Adenovirus. The virus can infect chickens, turkeys and other poultry. FADV can cause diseases such as inclusion body hepatitis, hydropericardium syndrome and gizzard erosion in chickens. The disease is often mixed with other poultry pathogens, and infected chickens can develop secondary aplastic anemia, hepatitis, and decreased egg production. FADV is distributed worldwide, and the virus can be transmitted horizontally through the fecal-oral route or vertically, causing huge economic losses to the poultry industry.
The kit is suitable for detecting avian adenovirus in respiratory tract secretion cotton swabs (chickens, turkeys, geese and quails infected with avian adenovirus I), ovarian, oviduct, follicular, uterine and oviduct mucosa tissues, cloacal swabs (chickens and ducks infected with avian adenovirus II and III) and other samples, and is used for auxiliary diagnosis of avian adenovirus infection.
Product Principle
This kit uses TaqMan probe real-time fluorescence PCR technology, designs a pair of avian adenovirus specific primers, combines with a specific probe, and uses fluorescence PCR technology to amplify and detect the nucleic acid of avian adenovirus in vitro, which is used for clinical etiological diagnosis of suspected infected materials.
Sensitivity: The lowest detection limit of the kit is ≤500copies/mL.
Specificity: The specificity is 100%, and it can accurately detect Fowl Adenovirus. For other viruses with similar clinical symptoms, the test results were negative.
Repeatability: Repeat the test on the sample, the difference between batches is ≤3%, and the difference within the batch is ≤3%.
