ECS600 Strong magnetic field Eddy Current separator for Aluminum and Copper Non Ferrous Metal Separation
Standard Eddy Current Separator including Vibration Feeder, Converyor Belt, Eddy Current Drum Separation Zone, Material Discharge Box and Control Cabinet. Standard unit is applicable for separating non ferrous metal such as AL, Copper, Zinc from material stream.

Working Principle
The Eddy Current Separator (ECS) is used to separate metallic (ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic) materials from non-metallic ones. This magnetic separator of non-magnetic metals works on the principle of so-called eddy currents induced by a magnetic cylinder. A magnetic cylinder (separator rotor) with very strong neodymium magnets is embedded in the conveyor. At high revolutions (when the magnetic poles alternate rapidly) it creates a magnetic field that magnetizes even non-ferromagnetic metallic materials for a short term. The magnetic polarity of the particles magnetized in this way is the same as the polarity of the magnetic field created by the separator rotor. Therefore, magnetized materials are repelled and automatically ejected out of the conveyor belt.
It should be emphasized that ECS separators do not serve to separate ferrous particles. In fact, for their proper functioning and especially in applications with high ferrous content, it is necessary to remove ferrous particles before the material is treated by the ECS (e. g., by installing a conventional magnetic separator in front of the ECS separator). Possible sporadic ferromagnetic particles can be captured by the ECS separator.
