During polypropylene production, the resin degassing unit releases thousands of kilograms of gas per hour. These emissions primarily consist of nitrogen and hydrocarbons, with nitrogen content around 10%, mainly containing propylene monomers. Recovering propylene monomers and as much nitrogen as possible from these emissions can significantly enhance the company's economic benefits while also contributing to environmental protection.

Principle of Propylene/Nitrogen Separation
When a mixture of propylene and nitrogen enters the organic gas separation membrane, the solubility and diffusion rates (permeation rates) of propylene in the membrane are over 50 times higher than those of nitrogen. This results in a propylene-rich stream on the permeate side and a nitrogen-rich stream on the residual side, achieving effective separation of propylene from nitrogen.
