Product Description | Veterinary AO Type Mono axial locking plate : The shape fits the proximal tibia better than any other plate. Locking screw holes, angled away from the articular surface allow for secure screw placement. K wire holes enable temporary stabilisation of the plate prior to drilling the screw holes. Compression holes placed at slightly different angles allow tailored compression of the osteotomy. * Description TPLO, or Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy, is a surgical procedure used to treat cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) injuries in dogs. The procedure involves cutting and repositioning the tibial plateau, the upper part of the tibia bone in the dog’s hind leg,to reduce the stress on the CCL and improve stability in the knee joint. The TPLO surgery is typically indicated for dogs with CCL injuries that are causing lameness or instability in the knee joint. The procedure can be performed on dogs of any size or breed, but is most commonly used for larger breeds that are more prone to CCL injuries. |
