Introduce and Application | Plastic balls are deal for light load bearings and flow control applications. Plastic balls are often used in the construction of office furniture and medical equipment because of their quiet operation. Plastic balls are often used extensively in pharmaceutical, food and chemical production. Plastic balls are produced using standard and special polymer resins with diameters from 2.0 to 15 mm. and they can be used instead of stainless steel or steel balls in various industrial applications at lower cost than metal balls. The most common applications include plastic bearings and rollers, ball bearings for furniture, micro-pumps for sprays, dispensers, pumps and valves, precision instruments, measurement and control equipment, photographic and pharmaceutical equipment, computers, conditioning and automation equipment, photocopiers and equipment for the industry. Plastic Balls have low friction and require virtually no lubrication. They are much lighter than metal balls and are resistant to corrosion and abrasion. Many plastics are also resistant to high temperatures up to 300°C. Plastic balls offer above all the advantage of being very light, since their specific weight is very low. They are also highly resistant to heat and they provide smooth and silent running, totally noise and friction free. Unlike conventional metal balls they do not require lubrication,Another important feature is their excellent resistance to oxidation and abrasion and, therefore the use of these balls, even in very corrosive environments, allows long life of the component concerned. They also provide electrical and heat insulation and are not magnetic.

Production Line :
Heading:
In the first step, heading machines cut wire into short lengths and form it into spherical shapes between dies.
Deflashing:
The flash line, a ridge left by the forming dies, is removed as balls roll between heavy,cast iron plates.
Soft Grinding:
Similar to deflashing, except that a grinding stone is used to improve precision.
Heat-treating:
Carbon steel balls are next carburized and hardened. Heat treatment imparts the desired hardness and case depth.
Descaling:
This step removes the residues and by-products from the heat-treating process.
Hard Grinding:
Slow, meticulous grinding assures proper sizing and sphericity, with tolerances as closeas ±.0001".
Lapping:
Several proprietary lapping processes can bring balls to the requirements of ISO 3290 Grade10 - 48.
Finishing:
Proprietary chemical and mechanical processes give the balls their final micro-smoothed finish, for increased wear resistance and product longevity.
