Q.1 : What information is required for a quote?
A : Please use Gerber data, PCB fabrication notes and array drawing data when you request a quote. This will give you an accurate quote in a short period of time.
Q.2 : How long does it take to receive a quote?
A : The average time is typically 6-8 hours. If the quote is marked urgent, we can get a quote to you within 2-4 hours. The quote also depends on the technology of the PCB design. Complex designs may take up to 24 hours for an accurate quote.
Q.3 : Where is the manufacturing done?
A : For PCB’s and MCPCB’s we use our Cofan facility in Taiwan. For metal work (heat sinks, fans, metal extrusions, etc) we use our Cofan facility in China.
Q.4 : What is the average lead time?
A : The lead times range from 3 days to 5 weeks, this is all depending on the product, complexity and quantity required. We advise that you contact our sales office with urgent quick turns.
Q.5 : Are the facilities ISO certified?
A : Yes all our buildings are ISO 9001 certified and operated. See our certifications page for details.
Q.6 : What about shipping costs, do I have to pay for shipping?
A : Cofan-PCB will cover the cost of shipping to your destination. You just pay for the GST and duty fee.
Q.7 : Where do I send Gerber files?
A : Your files are emailed to the sales representative who reviews the files for DFM purposes and provides a quote based on your lead time and quantity requirements.
Q.8 : Is manufacturing at your offshore facility environmentally friendly?
A : Yes, manufacturing in Taiwan follows strict environment policies and waste treatment disposal. They are now more green and environmentally friendly than most Western region manufacturers.
