Why do you need FIA approval?
This standard has been defined by the FIA in collaboration with the Global Institute for Motor Sport Safety (GIMSS) and manufacturers of FIA-approved safety harnesses.
The new standard will ensure improved strength during frontal and angled frontal impacts.
This standard prescribes test rigs for dynamic and quasi-static tests in order to ensure controlled conditions and accurate, repeatable and reproducible results.
