The oil damper is a colsed hydraulic system. When working, the damper converts the system vibration energy into heat energy scattering in the air so as to achieve the effect of vibraion reduction.

Technical characteristics
* The structure is variable damping passive damper (PSHD). It is new type of passive damper with semi-active control performance by adjusting the sequence of control valve.
* The drawing damping force and compressing damping force are basically equal, and the damping characteristics is symmetrical.

Type
1. Primary vertical damper (axle box damper) . It is used to control vertical movement between axle box and bogie. i.e. nodding virbration.
2. Secondary vertical damper.
It is used to control vertical movement between carbody and bogie. i.e. nodding viration and bouncing vibration.
3. Secodary lateral damper.
It is used to control laeral movement between carbody and bogie. i.e. lateral vibration and yawing vibration.
4. Yaw damper.
It is used to contril hunting movenment between carbody and bogie. i.e. hunting motion.
5. Coupling dampler.
It is used to control lateral movement between motor hanging beam and bogie. i.e. lateral vibration.
