Feathers vary widely in shape and sizes.
All of our feather items have been professionally cleaned, steamed and sanitized to perfection. They have been hand selected for best quality.Expect some minor imperfection on feathers since they are all natural.
Wholesale and quantity discount is available for bulk order.
Please note that dyed feathers may vary slightly in color as a result of being in different dye lots. Although the differences should only be slight, please contact us if you need the colors to match.
Follow these feather care guidelines, always treat your feathers gently and your feathers will continue to be the center of attention at all of your events!
Storing Your Ostrich Feathers
Store your feathers in a cool, dry place where humidity can’t damage them. Sealed plastic containers or acid-free cardboard boxes work well, but avoid using standard cardboard boxes, because their acidity will fade your feathers’ beautiful colors.
Feathers should be stored flat, while boas should be hung or packed loosely. Bugs love feathers! Use a cedar chest, moth balls or flakes to ward off unfriendly, hungry bugs that might eat your feathers.
Re-fluffing Your Ostrich Feathers
Are your feathers losing their fullness? Steaming can help return your ostrich feathers to their former extravagant beauty.
(1).First, rub the feathers gently between your hands to bring out the feather flu and make the individual strands fluffier.
(2).Use a fabric steamer on the driest setting to open the feathers and make them more vibrant.

(3).If you can’t find a fabric steamer, try boiling water in a pot or tea kettle. Carefully put each feather into the small stream of the escaping steam until the feather has expanded again. Once the feather has opened up, stop! Further steaming will have no benefit.
*Pro Tip* Feathers are extremely flammable! Be careful around open flames or pyrotechnics.

*Pro Tip* Your feathers will be safe and clean as long as you use a soft brush, apply gentle pressure and stroke only with the flow of the plumage—never against.

Ostrich Femina/Wing/Plume 16-32‘’
Wing Plumes are the most elegant and largest of all ostrich feathers.
They have long fibers ranging between 5-8 inches wide which create a flowy look for any occasion.
Ostrich Drabs 6-24''
Ostrich drab feathers generally much smaller than ostrich wing plumes, more narrow than plumes, and not as tall. Their quills are softer than plume quills, and the "hairs" don't hang as much.
Ostrich Spads 16-26''
Spadona- spads, are wing feathers from juvenile ostriches. Very thin at the tips, but a nice alternative to plumes if on a budget.
Ostrich Floss 10-17''
Floss is a thin and soft ostrich feather. Located underneath the base of the wing feathers as a single layer of feathers.
Ostrich Tails 12-18''
Tails are round-headed feathers, with quills/stems that are about 2-3 inches longer than on drab feathers. Excellent alternative to a drab.
