Sodium hypochlorite
Sodium hypochlorite is the most common "chlorine" bleach in household washing. Other similar bleaching agents are potassium hypochlorite, lithium hypochlorite or calcium hypochlorite, sodium hypobromate or sodium iodate, chlorinated oxide solution, chlorinated sodium phosphate, sodium trichloroisocyanurate or potassium, etc., but in the home washing is usually not used. Characteristics
White unstable solid, easy to explode when mixed with organic matter or reducing agent. Alkaline aqueous solution, and the slow decomposition of NaCl, NaClO ₃ and O ₂, heated by light rapid decomposition, strong oxidizing.
Sodium hypochlorite is mainly used in bleaching, industrial wastewater treatment, papermaking, textile, pharmaceutical, fine chemical, sanitation and disinfection and many other fields, specifically:
1. Used for bleaching pulp, textile (such as cloth, towel, undershirt, etc.), chemical fiber and starch;
2. Used as bleach for grease in soap making industry;
3. The chemical industry is used to produce hydrazine hydrate, monochloramine and dichloramine;
4. Chlorination agent for the manufacture of cobalt and nickel;
5. Used as water purifying agent, fungicide and disinfectant in water treatment;

8. Agriculture and animal husbandry are used as disinfectant and deodorant for vegetables, fruits, feedlot and livestock houses;
9. Food grade sodium hypochlorite is used for disinfection of beverage water, fruits and vegetables, as well as sterilization of food manufacturing equipment and utensils, but it cannot be used in the food production process with sesame as raw material.
