VDI 40 ER32 Axial Live Tool
This live tool will fit the 12 Station, 12 Station Hybrid, and VD24 turrets. Live tools are dynamic tools that drive a cutting tool (endmill, thread mill, drill, tap) that is secured with a collet or other coupling on the live tool spindle. They are mounted to a turret and are actuated by the CNC control spindle. Live tools add the milling component to the lathe machine increasing productivity saving you time and money. This eliminates the hassle of moving your parts to the mill after performing all your turning steps in the lathe. Our live tools come in radial or axial configurations and are available for VDI or BMT65 stations to accommodate a wide variety of turrets and machines. RedLine Tools feature quality components proudly manufactured in the USA. Our live tools feature an oversized flange integral to the spindle, providing chip protection for the front seal and bearings. A precise run-out of .002 mm provides improved accuracy and smooth performance. We are driven to provide our customers with results that work.

The Haas BMT65 turret offers increased cutting performance, longer tool life and better tool clearance compared to older machines. Our BMT65 live tools use standard ER32 collets, have a 1:1 drive ratio, 6,000 max RPM and run-out = .0002 mm. We also offer a full line of modular live tools that work with the Varia Connect quick-change adapter.
