Product Description
Fire clay brick is made from clay minerals. It consists mainly of 18-44 % of alumina (Al2O3) and 50-80 % of silica (SiO2). It has low porosity and are durable for various re-heating process. It is mainly used in the low temperature parts of blast furnaces, waste incinerators and glass melting furnaces.
There are two standard sizes of fire-brick; one is 9×4 1⁄2×3 inches (229×114×76 mm) and the other is 9×4 1⁄2×2 1⁄2 inches (229×114×64 mm). Also available are firebrick "splits" which are half the thickness and are often used to line wood stoves and fireplace inserts. The dimensions of a split are usually 9×4 1⁄2×1 1⁄4 inches (229×114×32 mm).
