Water Soluble Thread is a poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) thread that has been specifically developed to replace conventional basting or tracking threads in apparel manufacturing.
Water Soluble Thread that has dissolves when immersed or sprayed with warm or normal water and is used as an alternative to conventional sewing threads for temporary stitching operations.
Water Soluble Thread will be dissolved in the water of 20-90 Degree Centigrade Temperature.
Conventional sewing threads used for basting or tacking operations hold in place or join one or more fabric ply’s which are then(if visible) unpicked after a garment is complete.
The use of Water Soluble Thread eliminates the need to unpick temporary stitching and also helps to prevent damages that may occur to fabrics or seams while unpicking.
