Founded in 1925 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Rheem Water Heater Group is a manufacturer of heating, hot water, refrigeration, pool heating and commercial cooling products.

Rheem Water heater Group owns Rheem, Ruud, EVERHOT, Raypak, Eemax, Intergas, Solahart, Vulcan and other international brands.

Rheem has 10 R&D centers, 11 hot water divisions, 20 innovation and learning centers and 22 production centers in the world. Development course

In 1889, Mr.Edwin Ruud invented the automatic positive displacement water heater.

In 1925, Rheem Manufacturing was established in California, USA. It is a manufacturer of heating, cooling, hot water, pool heating and commercial cooling products.

In 1930, the company began full-scale production of automatic gas storage water heaters, commercial boilers and water tanks.

In 1937, Rheem opened its first overseas factory in Sydney, Australia.

In 1940, Rheem became a manufacturer of water heaters, and in the same year established a special laboratory to improve the protective coating of steel containers and other metal products.

In 1946, the focus shifted from the industrial market to the civilian market, and in the same year it entered Brazil and opened two plants.

In 1953, Solahart, Australia's largest solar hot water brand, joined the Rheem Group.

In 1954, Rheem successfully developed its unique RheemGlas® enamel coating and applied it to gas water heaters.

In 1956, the HVAC central heating and cooling system was introduced.

In 1960, Ruud merged with Rheem to form the Rheem Group.

In 1985, the group acquired Raypak, a professional manufacturer of hot water boiler equipment.

In 1988, Rheem formed the PRG Group with gas appliance manufacturer Paloma.

In 1994, as one of the foreign enterprises to enter China, Australia Rui Mei established a joint venture company - Hout Volume Water Heater (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. in Chengdu under the brand EVERHOT.

In 2000, EVERHOT products were returned to Australia and became the designated product of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

In 2001, EVERHOT expanded its export business by relying on its international brand effect, and its products were sold to South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and other countries.

In 2004, the company began to independently develop and produce heat pump products, becoming a domestic heat pump product.

In 2008, Rheem Group wholly-owned Hout Volume Water heater (Chengdu) Co., LTD.

In 2007, Raypak boilers were sold in the Chinese market.

In 2010, the company officially changed its name to Rui Mei (China) Water Heater Co., LTD.

In 2012, the company introduced Japan Paloma rapid gas water heater professional assembly line.

In 2015, Rheem Group acquired Eemax, a brand of instant electric water heaters, and subsequently entered the Chinese market.

In 2017, the Group acquired the top European brand Intergas, and the wall hanging furnace products were added to the Chinese production line.

In 2020, Rheem Group will further promote its globalization strategy, set up the China region, and invest in the construction of a research and development center and an innovative learning center at the headquarters in Chengdu, China.
