VIETNAM LONG GRAIN WHITE RICE
Mecofood Long Grain White Rice type IR504 is fluffy, porous with natural scent. After cooked, It's texture hard when cooling down. This Rice is very rich of amylose, suitable for producing rice powder, vermicelli and noodles.The production process has met the required standards of HACCP and Food safety management systems- ISO.

Usage Instructions:
- To keep the best taste of this rice, it should be cooked with little water (only 1 cm higher from the surface of rice), no
tilling rice before eating. The ratio between rice and water is 1: 1.1. The cooked rice looks good with the smells of jasmine,
quite sweet and soft.
Storage instructions:
- Storing in a cool dry place

Manufacturing Technique
At Mecofood Foodstuff, This is how rice milling is done after harvesting the rice:
1) Test the paddy for suitable moisture level. Proceed for milling if moisture level passes.
2) Clean the paddy to remove impurities such as straw, dirt, dust and stones.
3) Remove rice husk off from the paddy. At this point, the rice is what we know as brown rice.
4) Polish the rice to remove out the brown layer which is known as “rice bran”. This rice bran can be used to produce rice bran oil.
5) Once the rice colour is white after removing the brown layer, use sieves to separate the whole kernels from the broken rice kernels.
6) Colour sorting is done to sort out the chalky and yellow-ish rice grains.
7) The rice is then packed with advanced machines.
8) The packed rice is stored safety in a dry and cool place before being exported.
