Substrate treatment

Remove salt and other water-soluble contaminants by fresh water hosing

Remove oil thoroughly with suitable detergent in accordance with SSPC-SP1

Remove the weld spatters, and treat the weld seam and burr to make it smooth

All damaged primer, rust and scale should be thoroughly cleaned by abrasive blasting to ISO Sa2.5(SSPC-SP10) or treat the surface to ISO St3.0 by power tool cleaning

Remove dust and dirt by high-pressure air before paint application

Confirm the surface clean and dry before application.
